The Faux Ghost Project

Infrasound - sound lower than 20Hz which is cannot be heard by the human ears, is known to cause odd sensations. These sensations are often associated with "supernatural" events. Such as being in a haunted house.

It is also linked to seeing ghosts. One case is the experience of Vic Tandy - an experimental officer of Coventry University in England. After experiencing some seemingly paranormal activity in a "haunted" laboratory in Warwick, he found out that the extractor fan was emitting a frequency of 18.98Hz - close to the resonant frequency of the eye, which is 18 Hz.

Scope:
Attempt to reproduce these unusual sensations of awe and fear using a test group and possibly, make someone see a faux ghost.

Methodology:
Sound waves will be produced by an AF generator, amplifier, and speaker set up. The AF generator will be an Adruino-based micro controller: a Gizduino ATmega328. The amplifier-speaker circuit will be made from scratch.
